Why Is My Facebook Video Not Downloading?

Video is set to Friends Only

Wrong link format

Copy the link from the video's Share menu not the browser address bar. Facebook post URLs and video URLs are different. Open the video in its own tab first, then copy the URL from the address bar — it should contain watch?v= or /videos/ in the URL.

iPhone download not working in Chrome

Chrome on iPhone does not support the iOS native download manager. Switch to Safari for downloads on iPhone. Safari cannot be deleted from iPhone so it is always available even if Chrome is your default browser.

Live video not available

Facebook Live videos can only be downloaded after the stream ends and the replay is posted. You cannot download a live stream while it is broadcasting. Wait for the stream to end and the replay to appear on the profile or Page, then paste the replay URL into VidSip.

Story already expired

Only SD quality available
